IMMEDIATE RELEASE An artist reception for the exhibition will take place on Friday, February 6th from five to seven p.m. The gallery, located at 885 East Musser Street in Carson City. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited. The artist combines printmaking, painting, photography, and video. At the core of her fanciful and exquisitely elegant artworks one finds a complex, challenging center. She comments: "My recent work has been inspired by my explorations of psychological disorders and how they affect people's perceptions of reality. Depression and anxiety cause people to perceive things differently – usually to their detriment. Innocuous objects or situations can suddenly seem dangerous. A joyous day can turn gloomy. Confusion reigns." The CCAI Courthouse Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m to 5 p.m. The exhibition runs through May 29th. CCAI is funded by the Carson City Redevelopment Authority; the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts; the James W. Calhoun Foundation; the John and Grace Nauman Foundation; U.S. Bancorp Foundation; the Robert Z.
