From 2003 – 2025, CCAI presented art exhibitions in four
Carson City Galleries, commissioned exhibition essays, hosted
an online speaker series, shared the exhibit videos on
YouTube, and worked with our high school and college partners
to present their students’ art to the public.

setting. Stephen Reid talks with artist Joan Arrizabalaga
about her work in the Bristlecone Gallery exhibition, "Big
Deal". The show continues at WNC's Bristlecone Gallery
through September 12, M-F, 8am - 7pm.
CCAI's Nevada Neighbors series of public talks includes
interviews with artists in their studios or in a gallery
setting. For this talk, the Initiative presents
remembrances by fourteen former students, friends,
colleagues, and family members about the late Robert
Morrison’s long career as a teacher and as an artist. The
video includes a tour of the exhibition, "A Glimpse Back".

Sue Cotter and Elaine Parks, about their work in CCAI’s
exhibition, "Fables & Myths". The show is in Western

setting. In her "Women Artists of the Great Basin" talk,
Fulkerson discusses how artists find connections despite
living in a dramatically vast 200,000 square mile area,
and how artists achieve success and fulfillment despite
great odds as well as statistics that tell a different
story.
