FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 1, 2009 Earlier in the day, she will be a featured guest at FWAC!, CCAI's monthly 'First Wednesday's Arts Coffee," which meets at the Bliss Mansion at the corner of Robinson and Elizabeth Streets in historic Carson City, across from the Governor's Mansion. Artists and arts enthusiasts are enthusiastically invited to attend. During her week-long stay in northern Nevada, Ms. Mustapic, will visit local schools to give presentations. As with all Nevada Neighbors speakers, she will also meet informally with artists and art students to discuss their work. Ms. Mustapic teaches at the University of Rijeka Applied Arts Academy, in her hometown Rijeka, Croatia. She actively participates in artist-centered organizations, and is a dynamic contributor to Croatia’s emerging art scene. Her work was recently featured in a one-person exhibition in Zagreb, Croatia's largest and capital city. The Capital City Arts Initiative is an artist-centered organization committed to the encouragement and support of artists and the arts and culture of Carson City and the surrounding region. The Initiative is committed to community building for the area's diverse adult and youth populations through art projects and exhibitions, live events, arts education programs, artist residencies, and its web site. CCAI is funded by the Carson City Redevelopment Authority; the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts; the James W.
