Caffeine! Daydreams - works by Jane Oling-Greenard

Caffeine! Gallery, located in Comma Coffee, will present “Daydreams," an exhibition of wall hangings during January [and February due to popular demand and inclement weather] by local artist and Carson High School art teacher Jane Oling-Greenard. There will be a reception for the artist on Friday, January 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Comma Coffee is located at 312 Carson Street in Carson City across from the State Legislature Building. The exhibition and reception are free and the public is cordially invited.

Oling-Greenard's paintings and prints on fabric reflect her interest in landscapes and the beauty of nature. The title of her exhibition, “Daydreams,” refers to her initial approach to creating artworks. Ms. Oling-Greenard was born in San Francisco and earned her art degree at California State University in Chico. She has traveled to many parts of the world since childhood as an airline employee. Travel has influenced her outlook on life, art and culture. She earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Nevada in Reno.

Caffeine! is a project sponsored by Comma Coffee and the Capital City Arts Initiative. Caffeine! presentsmonth-long exhibitions of work by local artists. Artists interested in showing at Caffeine! are encouraged to pick up an information sheet at Comma Coffee.
